- Tom L. on Acem’s Communication Course As an introspective [...]
It started with an experience. The last half of the 1960s was a period of open exploration, with large cohorts of young students from the post-war generation entering universities, seeking to change the world with their utopian and revolutionary dreams and ideologies. The people who started building Acem had come across a method that challenged inner dogmatism and narrow-mindedness – a sound-based meditation that facilitated change.
If I hadn’t meditated, I wouldn’t have had the necessary self-confidence, but last autumn I applied for a promotion at work. I didn’t have the courage to do such things before, but have developed more trust in myself.
Acem’s Training in Interpersonal Communication helps you improve your ability to work with others while retaining and developing your own individuality. This year’s course will have English, German, Spanish, and Scandinavian groups. The registration deadline has been extended to 15 April, with 1 April for early-bird registration. The course takes place 23 April – 3 May 2015 at Acem International Retreat Centre Halvorsbøle, Norway.
When Acem celebrates 50 years of existence in 2016, the major celebratory event will be a world retreat bringing together Acem meditators from all over the globe. Several hundred participants from various countries and continents will meet for a week of long meditations, guidance, seminars, yoga, mountain walks and social activities.
