Daily meditation practice gives us a time-out to digest all the impressions that pile up during the day. This time-out prevents an overload of residues from various experiences. Furthermore, it helps us recover more quickly from stressful events. Meditation provides the necessary condition to sort out experiences that otherwise would remain undigested in our mind and steal attention and energy from the tasks we try to complete. Regular meditation over time may facilitate our understanding of factors that influence the quality of our life.
